Lincoln County has finalized its budget schedule for fiscal year 2016-17.

Town delegates and members of the legislative delegation will meet on Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. at the courthouse. They will hold a caucus to elect the budget advisory committee.

The budget requests, which have been collected all summer from the county departments, will be passed on to the committee. Department managers, nonprofits, and towns will get a copy of the calendar.

A presentation of department managers’ and nonprofits’ budget requests will be made at a public hearing Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. in the Communications Center in Wiscasset.

The committee will meet for work sessions on Oct. 13 and 27. A tentative budget is expected at the end of the second work session. The committee will meet with the commissioners and legislative delegation on Nov. 10. The commissioners are expected to approve the budget by Dec. 20.

All meetings are open to the public.
