Westport Island woman wins lecture competition
Kelsey Robertson, who works in government affairs at AVANGRID, a national renewable energy developer and operator of regulated utilities, was recently named the winner of the 2017 Dick Wolf Memorial Lecture competition.
Robertson, who grew up on Westport Island and attended Wiscasset schools, will present her lecture, "Historic Districts & Climate Change: examining the vulnerability of the District’s historic districts to sea level rise," on Friday, March 24 at Hill Center, 921 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, D.C.
Robertson received her master of arts degree in urban & regional planning from Georgetown University in December 2016. Her lecture is based on her master’s thesis.
She is a 2009, summa cum laude, graduate of Connecticut College, where she majored in international relations. Robertson previously worked at the American Wind Energy Association.
The lecture competition is sponsored by the Capital Hill Restoration Society. Robertson's lecture will be discussed at Hill Center after her presentation on March 24. For more information, visit chrs.org
