Easter Eggspress in Alna April 15
Come to the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum for the annual Easter Eggspress trains on Saturday, April 15 from noon to 3 p.m. Trains will leave the Sheepscot Station location at 97 Cross Rd. in Alna on the hour.
Ride behind the newly refurbished steam locomotive to Alna Center Station where you will detrain to gather Easter eggs. There will be three fields to gather from broken down by age group. Children 4 and under will be in one field, 5-8 in another and 9 and above in a third. This ensures everyone a chance to collect. Families with children in multiple age groups are welcome to stay together in the field of their choice.
Each field for each train will have one specially prepared golden egg. Find it and turn it in to the field manager for a voucher to be redeemed back at Sheepscot for a prize basket.
Since egg hunts are for the young at heart, all tickets will be at the children's fare of $5.
The WW&F Railway Museum is a 501(c) (3) non-profit all volunteer organization dedicated to the preserving the history of narrow gauge railroading in the Sheepscot River Valley. For more information, go to the WW&F website at wwfry.org or call (207) 882-4193.
