Volunteers sought for Woolwich committees
Woolwich residents can get involved in their community by volunteering for a board or advisory committee. Lynette Eastman, town administrator, compiled a list of vacancies. Unless otherwise noted, all the boards and committees meet at the town office at 13 Nequasset Road.
Solid Waste and Recycling Committee:The seven-member committee meets the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Jonathan Appleyard is chairman. Two terms expire June 30. There’s one vacancy.
Planning Board: Five members and two alternates make up the board which meets the first Monday of the month at 7:15 p.m. Greg Buczkowski is chairman. Two terms expire June 30; there’s one alternate seat available.
Board of Appeals: Meets as needed. Two terms expire June 30. Two vacancies.
Special Events Committee: Collette Coombs chairs the committee which meets as needed. One vacancy.
Shellfish Conservation Committee: Daniel Harrington chairs; three volunteers are needed. The committee is scheduled to meet on the first Tuesday of each month.
Public Communication Committee: Meets the second Wednesday of the month. Two alternate members are needed.
Road Committee: Meets as needed and has one vacancy.
Monument committee: Meets as needed and has two vacancies.
Agricultural/Forestry Resource Committee: Three vacancies.
Conservation Commission: Meets as needed, three vacancies.
Cemetery Committee: Two regular members and two alternates are needed
