The Wiscasset Public Library has a graceful curved walkway that leads patrons from the sidewalk to the patio into the Used Book Room on the library’s lower level. Implanted in the patio and walkway are bricks containing quotations or the names of family members and friends. 

Buying a brick for a family member is a thoughtful way to recognize that person’s love of education, reading and libraries. The brick is a constant reminder of that person and also a way to support the library and its functions.

The Library sends in one brick order a year and that time is coming near. If you are interested in purchasing a memorial brick, come in to the library on 21 High Street to place your order. A brick with three lines, twenty spaces each, is $50. A brick with six lines is available for $100. Payment is due upon ordering.

The deadline to place an order is May 31.
