Damariscotta selectmen will return to meeting the first and third Wednesdays of the month starting Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m.

The board had moved the meetings to Tuesdays this summer, but issues arose with getting paperwork for selectmen to sign, especially on weeks with Monday holidays. 

Damariscotta will hold an election Nov. 7 to replace George Parker, who resigned owing to his move to Newcastle. Running for his seat, which will expire in 2020, are Louis Abbatoni, Catherine Blount, Lorraine Faherty, Elizabeth Printy and Larry Sidelinger.

The town will also vote on a commercial building moratorium.
