It’s time to prepare for Harbor Lights’ Lighted Boat Parade
Attention all boat owners — show your holiday spirit and help the region celebrate the 32nd annual Harbor Lights Festival and the Boothbay Festival of Lights by participating in the Lighted Boat Parade. The parade that will be held Saturday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the inner harbor.
Last year’s participation was absolutely fantastic and the whole community, as well as visitors to the region, thoroughly enjoyed the parade. The shores of the harbor were completely filled with enthusiastic crowds who showed their appreciation to the captains and their crews. The participating boats did an excellent job of decorating and adding to the joy of the holiday festivities. In addition to the Lighted Boat Parade, this year, businesses and residents are encouraged to decorate their docks, floats and properties to help light up the entire harbor.
Lighted Boat Parade participants will compete for first, second and third place cash prizes for the best, most imaginative decorations and each participating boat will receive a cash gift card to help offset the expense of fuel.
