Healthy Kids will start an Active Parenting: 5-12 on Nov. 30. The class will run six Fridays from 1-3 p.m. at their office, 15 Belvedere Rd., Damariscotta. There will be no class on Dec. 28.

This is a class for all parents of children ages 5 to 12. The newly revised parenting program includes the essential Active Parenting model that has benefited millions of parents, plus: how brain development affects children's behavior and decision-making, improved discipline and communication, how to prevent future use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs parenting a special-needs child, 7 Smart Things you can do immediately for school success.

This class is free, and each parent will receive a parent’s guide. Childcare will be provided if requested ahead of time. Call Healthy Kids at 563-1818 for more information.
