Ann Brown, 85, formerly of Wiscasset, Maine passed away peacefully with her daughter, Lisa, by her side Oct. 1, 2025 at her home in Port Orange, Florida. 

Ann was born Aug. 7, 1940 in Southport to Clifton Brewer and Elsie Webber Brewer. Ann attended local schools and graduated from Boothbay Region High School. During high school she was a cheerleader. She attended University of Maine at Farmington.  

Ann was very proud to work at Bath Memorial Hospital. She also ran a seafood take-out business on Route 27 in Boothbay. Ann was a true outdoors person. She enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, taking care of her animals on her farm in Alna, and traveling with family and friends.    

Ann was a very helpful person, and family and friends would seek her out for guidance or direction in their lives. She wintered in Florida for many years before finally retiring to Port Orange, Florida 20 years ago.   

She was predeceased by her son, Stephen Brown.  

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Peterson of Port Orange, Florida, and Ellen Brown of Florida; son, Daniel Brown of Port Orange, Florida; and cousins, Tim Brewer of Yarmouth and Beverly Hurst of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. 

A graveside service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at Evergreen Cemetery in Boothbay Followed by a reception from noon to 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
