Boat captains light up the inner harbor parading their decorated boats around the harbor. This beloved event has been part of the town's holiday celebration since the 1990s. Parade begins at 6:45 p.m. The Holiday Fireworks display lights up the sky shortly afterward. Best viewing for both events: The Whale Park, Fishermen’s Memorial Park and Our Lady Queen of Peace church on Atlantic Avenue; and the Footbridge. Events are weather-dependent. In case of rain, activities will move to Sunday, Dec. 7.
