Critically acclaimed roots five piece band I Draw Slow is currently touring in support of their fifth album, and on Friday, June 27, they arrive in Boothbay Harbor to perform at the historic Opera House. The internationally-touring, Ireland based band has consistently redefined roots music, and their songs have reached the #1 spot in the Irish Independent Chart.

I Draw Slow has built a worldwide fan base, with their songs streaming in the millions, and 500,000 video views to date on Youtube. Their distinctive blend of Irish and Appalachian roots music has been licensed for film, TV, and advertising and is widely covered and recorded by other artists. The band even recently appeared in a major Kerrygold butter commercial which also featured one of their songs, Swans. Their high-production videos have featured actors such as Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and award-winning directors Hugh O’Conor (Three Musketeers), and Ronan Fox.

Siblings Dave and Louise Holden lead the group of mandolins, fiddle, banjo, and double bass. Fans regularly travel hundreds of miles to see their dynamic, emotionally-charged performances that captivate audiences with exquisite balladry, then brings them to their feet with high energy, bass-heavy danceable trad.
