Back on May 25, 1867 a group of Christians came together and organized the Barters Island Baptist Church. In 1875 the membership purchased property on which the church building built. This typical New England church on a hill on the island has become a historic physical landmark over the years.

This coming Sunday, May 19, the church family will be celebrating the church’s 146th anniversary. Pastor Rich Azud and the entire church family would like to cordially invite you and your family to our celebration service at 11 a.m. on that day.
