Defeated Dresden selectman calls for recount

    Dresden selectman Gerald Lilly has called for a recount after being defeated by challenger Dwight Keene in local elections held on Tuesday, June 14. Keene  out-polled Lilly 149-138. Lilly was seeking a second three-year term as second selectman.

    “It was pretty close,” said Lilly when contacted on Thursday, June 16.

    The recount will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, June 27, at Pownalborough Hall, Town Clerk Pat Theriault said Tuesday, June 21.
