Fellowship welcomes Rev. Karen Lewis Foley
Rev. Karen Lewis Foley will lead the service of the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Sunday, July 7, reflecting on "The Soul On Its Knees." “Victor Hugo said, 'There are times when, no matter what the attitude of the body, the soul is on its knees,' and I think even people who never intentionally pray have those 'soul on its knees' moments,” Foley said.
Retired from parish ministry, Foley offers a ministry of spiritual direction, retreats, and pastoral care consultation and training. She has just been named Affiliate Minister by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick.
Foley is a resident of Topsham, along with her husband Dan and their three cats, and she remains busy with gardening and writing. They have four grown children and two very young granddaughters.
The Fellowship gathers every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Porter Auditorium of Skidompha Library in Damariscotta. Entrance is through the door on Elm Street.
