Food Mobile to make repeat trips
The Good Shepherd Food Bank’s food mobile will once again distribute free food to residents of our peninsula who need help to put nourishing meals on the family dinner table. The food delivery will take place in one of the Congregational Church’s parking lots on Friday, July 20, from noon to 2 p.m.
If you and your family need food assistance, gather some bags or cartons to take away the 10 to 15 items that will be distributed from the large Good Shepherd truck. Come to the parking lot at around 11:30 a.m. on July 20 and line up near the bus. Distribution will begin at noon. The Boothbay Region Food Pantry also will be open as usual that day.
Mark your calendars for Friday, August 24, when the food mobile will return to the region. The Good Shepherd Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Maine. It distributes to more than 600 partner agencies, of which the Boothbay Region Food Pantry is one.
