Haitian girl 'doing great' after surgery
Mon, 10/22/2012 - 6:30pm
A Haitian girl staying with a Dresden host family had a successful heart valve replacement October 19, Nancy Call of Dresden said. Rose Julie Reby recovered well at Maine Medical Center in Portland and was set to return to the Call’s Blinn Hill Road home Monday afternoon, Oct. 22, for the remainder of her time in Maine, Call said Monday.
By October 21, two days after the surgery, Call said Reby was “doing great,” sitting up, eating Fruit Loops and watching the Disney Channel with Call's daughter Makayla.
The Call family also hosted Reby 2 years ago when she had her first surgery for a congenital heart defect.
