It is getting closer — Halloween!
You could feel the excitement with the group of children at Story Hour this week when we went around the room and asked the question “What are you going to be for Halloween?”
Then, the two stories that were read really put everyone in a festive Halloween mood.
"And Then Comes Halloween" by Tom Brenner is a child’s point of view to the countdown to Halloween and all of the fun in getting ready for it.
"Big Pumpkin" by Erica Silverman has a witch, ghost, vampire, mummy and a bat all helping each other to prepare pumpkin pie for their Halloween party.
After the stories, everyone made paper plate ghosts and construction paper pumpkins to decorate the library window.
Story Hour at the Wiscasset Public Library is on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., located at 21 High Street, Wiscasset.
