And The People's Choice winners are ...

BEST COCKTAIL, FIRST PLACE: Bartender Tracy of Harborside Tavern. Tracy's creation was a “Black and Tan,” featuring house-made caramel coffee, Cold River vodka, whipped cream and topped with a caramel candy. Not only was it delicious and beautiful, it was the perfect pick-me-up for their mid-afternoon tasting time and kept the crowd going for another five hours!

BEST COCKTAIL, SECOND PLACE goes to bartender Nancy Cressey of Boothbay Harbor Inn. Nancy created her “Chocolate Cherry Bomb” by infusing Cold River Vodka with dark cherries and dark chocolate then equal parts grenadine and creme de cocoa, topped with whipped cream and chocolate jimmies. BEST TASTE FIRST PLACE: Chef Stephen Richards of Fisherman's Wharf Inn. Richards prepared  “smoked lobster meatballs in an asiago nest stuffed with hazelnut romesco and truffle corn custard with micro chive." His creation involved smoking and grinding the lobster and adding raw scallop to form the balls before baking. The romesco had tomatoes, garlic, basil and roasted hazelnuts, and cream cheese was added to the truffled corn custard.  In addition to the tasty bite, tasters commented on how much they loved the entire presentation – from the elaborate nautical display to being served their taste by the chef himself!

SECOND PLACE, FOR BEST TASTE goes to chef Michael Morisette of Kaler's Restaurant! Michael made a spicy lobster and corn chowder topped with bacon and jalapeno and lime (to cut the heat), a regular staple on the menu.

BEST MUSIC, FIRST PLACE: Hayley Jane & The Primates at Mine Oyster ~ Raw Bar & Gathering Place. Boston-based, award-winning band with a strong female presence on the national music scene.

BEST MUSIC, SECOND PLACE: Barry Young at The Whale's Tale & Seafarer's Pub.
