Head injury reported in two-vehicle crash
A passenger received a head laceration following a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in Woolwich on October 27. The crash between a car and pickup truck was called out to emergency responders at 6:11 p.m., according to Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Brett Strout.
The collision occurred at the intersection of the George Wright Road and Route 1. Cullen Walker, 42, of Bath, was traveling north on Route 1 in his 2010 Ford pickup when a 2001 Honda driven by Misty Fisher, 40, of Woolwich, made a left-hand turn onto Route 1 in front of Walker's pickup. The two vehicles then collided. Strout said both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
Ron Rittall, 49, a passenger in Fisher's car, was transported to Midcoast Hospital for a head laceration. Strout said the investigation is still being carried out by Corporal Ian Alexander of the sheriff's department. Woolwich Fire Department, Woolwich Emergency Medical Service and Northeast Ambulance personnel responded to the scene.
