Independence Day in Wiscasset

Wiscasset's Fourth of July brought veterans, race car drivers, public safety personnel, churches and others together for a parade full of red, white and blue and smiles on participants and event-goers. And a week after St. Philip's Strawberry Festival, the Independence Day tradition of Wiscasset Yacht Club's strawberry shortcake meant back to back weeks of being able to enjoy the delectable summer treat.
