Local Bates students receive dean's list honors

The following students were named to the dean's list at Bates College during the first semester of the 2013–2014 academic year, a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.71 or higher.
Lily Christine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Christine of Alna, is majoring in English at Bates and is a 2011 graduate of home schooling.
Frances Leslie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seaver W. Leslie of Wiscasset, is majoring in art and visual culture at Bates and is a 2011 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy.
