MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital is expanding access to preventive care with the opening of a Foot Care Clinic in the Rehabilitation Care department, beginning Friday, Jan. 16. 

The clinic will be held every other Friday from noon to 4 p.m. the MaineHealth Webster Van Winkle Health Center, 79 Schooner St. in Damariscotta, and will be led by Amanda Millay, RN, a certified foot care specialist. Services include nail clipping, shoe inspections and comprehensive foot evaluations. 

The clinic is open to anyone; no referral or diabetes diagnosis is required. 

The cost is $30, payable at the time of service. Payment must be made by credit or debit card.Insurance cannot be billed, and co-payments are not reimbursable by insurance.

Preventive foot care can play an important role in identifying issues early, improving comfort and supporting overall mobility, particularly for older adults and individuals managing chronic conditions.
