Rev. Charles Carrick at Wilson Memorial Chapel on July 7
The Rev. Charles Carrick will lead the service at the Wilson Chapel on Ocean Point on Sunday, July 7. The service is at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome.
Carrick, a United Methodist clergyman, is currently the Chaplain at Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Carrick graduated from Yale Divinity School in 1987.
He served local churches in Pennsylvania on a full-time basis for 13 years and will begin his 15th year as chaplain this fall. At Wyoming Seminary, Carrick teaches Bible, AP computer science, post-apocalyptic literature, and algebra II.
He coaches the boys’ varsity soccer team and the boys’ middle school lacrosse team. Skiing, snowboarding, and kayaking are other sports passions.
This year Carrick received the Frances and Louis Maslow Upper School Award for Excellence in Teaching during Wyoming Seminary’s 169th Commencement ceremony.
Carrick and his wife, Jill Clay Carrick, have a home at Farnham Point. Jill is the head of Wyoming Seminary's Lower School Science Department and teaches science and computer.
The Carricks have a daughter, Grace, who will be entering Wyoming Seminary's fifth grade this fall (class of 2021).
Carrick's son, Jordan, is an aerospace engineer at Moog, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah.
