Richard H. Robbins

Richard H. Robbins, 90, died at the Visiting Nursing Association  (VNA) Hospice House in Vero Beach, Fla. September 23, 2012. He was born June 30, 1922 in Churchville, N.Y., a son of Chester and Etta Robbins.

After serving in the Air Force, Richard worked for Eastman Kodak, retiring in 1982 after 40 years of service. Richard married Connie Paulson in 1971. They retired from Rochester to Vero Beach and summered at the family homestead in Industry, Me.

Connie and Richard enjoyed traveling extensively during their retirement years. He enjoyed woodcarving and golfing and golfed up to age 89 with his special friends Bill and Dave.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Linda Soule and her husband Tom of Wiscasset; son-in-law Steve Fletcher of Apopka, Fla.; stepdaughter Carol Gile and her husband Everett of Industry; stepson Rodney Paulson of Portland; sister Melba Michelsen and her husband Bob of Greece, N.Y.; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife Connie, daughter Nancy Fletcher, and brother Jack Robbins.

The family is especially grateful for the wonderful care he received from his doctors, the VNA visiting nurses, and nurses and CNAs at Atlantic Healthcare Center and the VNA Hospice House. At the request of the family, there will be no service.
