Speech language pathologist featured at upcoming Parkinson’s Support Group
MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital invites community members and caregivers to attend its next Parkinson’s Support Group meeting on Thursday, May 7, at 2 p.m. The session will be offered in person at Chase Point Assisted Living Facility, with a Zoom option available. A link will be shared the day of the meeting.
The meeting will feature guest speaker Jennifer Bryce, MA, CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital. Bryce brings more than 27 years of experience and works with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She specializes in cognitive evaluation and treatment, Parkinson’s disease care and is certified in LSVT LOUD, a speech treatment for people with neurological conditions. Her experience also includes evaluation and treatment of aphasia and swallowing disorders.
Bryce’s presentation will focus on cognitive function and brain health, including what to expect with normal aging, strategies for healthy aging and warning signs that may require medical attention.
The Parkinson’s Support Group is free and open to the public. New participants are welcome.
