Ad Astra” - (PG-13, 2 Hours, 4 minutes) - Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father, played by Tommy Lee Jones, and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos. Also starring Donald Sutherland. Final screenings at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 24.

Judy” - (PG-13, 1 Hour, 58 minutes) - Winter 1968 and showbiz legend Judy Garland arrives in Swinging London to perform a five-week sold-out run at The Talk of the Town. It is 30 years since she shot to global stardom in “The Wizard of Oz,” but if her voice has weakened, its dramatic intensity has only grown. As she prepares for the show, battles with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and adoring fans, her wit and warmth shine through. Even her dreams of love seem undimmed as she embarks on a whirlwind romance with Mickey Deans, her soon-to-be fifth husband. Featuring some of her best-known songs, the film celebrates the voice, the capacity for love, and the sheer pizzazz of "the world's greatest entertainer." Screening at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25; Saturday, Oct. 26; Wednesday, Oct. 30; Thursday, Oct. 31. And at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

The Weight of Water” - (NR, 1 Hour, 19 minutes) - Special event: Filmmaker, mountain climber and expert kayaker Rob Raker, featured in the documentary, The Weight of Water, will introduce the film and stay after for the Q & A. Raker was the vocal guide for the star, Eric Weihenmayer, a blind kayaker attempting to paddle the length of the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Boothbay resident Henry Barber, an expert free solo mountain climber himself, will introduce his friend Rob Raker and join him afterwards at the Q & A. See it Sunday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m.$10 ($8 for members and youth under 18) Wine and cheese reception at 5:00 p.m.

“The Peanut Butter Falcon”  - (PG-13; 1 hour, 37 minutes) -  A modern Mark Twain style adventure story, “The Peanut Butter Falcon” tells the story of Zak (Gottsagen), a young man with Down syndrome, who runs away from a residential nursing home to follow his dream of attending the professional wrestling school of his idol, The Salt Water Redneck (Thomas Haden Church). A strange turn of events pairs him on the road with Tyler (LaBeouf), a small-time outlaw on the run, who becomes Zak's unlikely coach and ally. Final screening Thursday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.

“Talking Food in Maine: Intimate Conversations” -  Special guest, Chef Kerry Altiero - Join host Cherie Scott for this special evening with Chef Altiero - winner of Hospitality Maine’s 2019 chef of the year award and owner of the iconic and award-winning Café Miranda based in Rockland. Chef Altiero has won numerous culinary accolades in the last 26 years.  Come find out why Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. FREE event.

“Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice” -  (PG-13; 1 hour, 35 minutes) -  Ronstadt is our guide through her early years of singing Mexican canciones with her family; her folk days with the Stone Poneys; and her reign as the "rock queen" of the 70s and early 80s. She was a pioneer for women in the male-dominated music industry; an early advocate for human rights. Ultimately, her incredible voice was lost to Parkinson's disease, but her music and influence remain as timeless as ever. With moving performance footage and appearances by collaborators including Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne. Playing Friday, Oct. 25 at 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 2 and 7 p.m.

“Manon” -  (4 hours, 12 minutes) - The Met Live in HD -  Manon’s story—from innocent country girl to celebrated courtesan to destitute prisoner—is one of the great tragic tales in literature and music. Lisette Oropesa stars as the irresistible title character, the tragic beauty who yearns for the finer things in life, in Laurent Pelly’s revealing production. Michael Fabiano is the besotted Chevalier des Grieux, whose desperate love for Manon proves their undoing. Maurizio Benini conducts Massenet’s sensual score. Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. Tickets: $25 adult, $23 member, and $5 youth 18 and under.

“Raymonda” - (3 hours) - The Bolshoi Ballet - Captured live from the Bolshoi Ballet, Raymonda is betrothed to Jean de Brienne, a gallant knight who pledged to go on a crusade led by the King of Hungary. When her beloved leaves, Abderakhman, a foreign knight, makes a bid for the hand of Raymonda and threatens her fate when she rejects him. Raymonda is a must-see of the Bolshoi, a work of living dance history showcasing the ballerina as the ultimate virtuoso. Being one of legendary choreographer Marius Petipa’s final works, he fully armed this ballet with beautiful court scenes, romantic corps de ballet dances, Hungarian czardas and a title role suited for the most outstanding ballerina. Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. Tickets: $15 adult, $13 member, and $5 youth 18 and under.

“Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles” -  (PG-13; 1 hour, 32 minutes) - The story behind one of Broadway's most beloved musicals, Fiddler on The Roof and its creative roots in early 1960s New York. The film includes interviews with the show's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick, legendary producer Hal Prince, original cast members, such as Austin Pendleton, as well as rare archival footage of renowned choreographer Jerome Robbins. Further insights into the play's legacy and enduring influence come from new interviews with Broadway luminaries and cultural influencers including Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chaim Topol, Harvey Fierstein as well as famed authors Fran Lebowitz, Calvin Trillin and Nathan Englander.
