“Hostiles” -  Set in 1892, the film tells the story of an Army Captain (Christian Bale) who reluctantly agrees to escort a dying Cheyenne chief (Wes Studi) and his family back to tribal lands. On the journey, they meet a widow (Rosamund Pike) whose family was murdered on the plains and offer their help. As the former rivals make their way from an isolated Army outpost in New Mexico to the grasslands of Montana, their relationship moves from antagonism to compassion, demonstrating humans’ capacity for change. Written and directed by Scott Cooper. Last screening Wednesday, March 28, 7 p.m.

“Bombshell” - Austrian actress Hedy Lamarr was one of Hollywood's top leading ladies in the 1940s. When Nazi U-Boats torpedo a ship carrying 83 school children during World War II, Lamarr decides to exact revenge. At night, after shooting her scenes on set, she works on a secret radio system that will allow the Allies to torpedo Nazi U-Boats with deadly accuracy.

The screen siren who was called "the most beautiful woman in the world,” invented a wireless form of communication called "frequency hopping" that lead to the creation of secure communications for wireless phones, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi technology. It would make a terrific fictional film, but this documentary happens to be true.. Run time: 90 minutes. This unrated film, written and directed by Alexandra Dean, plays Thursday, March 29 at 7 p.m. and Friday, March 30 at 2 p.m.

“Alexandra (Dean) relates Hedy Lamarr’s ventures, those onscreen and off, with savvy and narrative snap, fluidly marshaling a mix of original interviews and archival material.” Manohla Dargis, The NY Times

After he dies of a heart attack, Peter and his family move into the empty house, causing havoc. When McGregor’s nephew, Thomas (Domhnall Gleeson) inherits the house, he is less than thrilled to discover the rabbits in his new home. Meanwhile Bea (Rose Byrne), a neighbor who is an animal lover, defends the rabbits while at the same time falling for her irascible new neighbor. “Così fan tutte” - The Met Live in HD.  A winning cast comes together for Phelim McDermott’s clever vision of Mozart’s comedy about the sexes, set in a carnival-esque, funhouse environment inspired by 1950s Coney Island—complete with bearded ladies, fire eaters, and a Ferris wheel. Manipulating the action are the Don Alfonso of Christopher Maltman and the Despina of Tony Award–winner Kelli O’Hara, with Amanda Majeski, Serena Malfi, Ben Bliss, and Adam Plachetka as the pairs of young lovers who test each other’s faithfulness.

David Robertson conducts. Runtime: 3 hours, 31 minutes; one 30-minute intermission. Playing Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m.  Tickets $25/adults, $23/LT members and $5/18 and under.

In a hilarious turn of events our heroines - Violet, Judy and Doralee - live out their wildest fantasy: giving their boss, Hart, the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged,”  the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that has always kept them down. Hey, a woman can scheme, can't she?
