The Town of Wiscasset has been made aware of a fraudulent scheme involving the distribution of invoices to Planning Board applicants, falsely requesting payment via wire transfer.

Please be advised that the Town does not issue invoices nor does it request wire payments for any Planning Board-related matters.

This incident has been reported to Wiscasset Police Department and is under investigation.
