The Wiscasset Lions Club held their final meeting for the 2011-2012 seasons June 6 at Ship’s Chow Hall, with the installation of the new officers for the ensuing year, along with special recognition to Margarita Fairfield, a second grader at the Wiscasset Primary School. The club’s meetings will resume Sept. 19.

Past District Gov. Mark Potter from Damariscotta installed the following officers: President Allan Brawn, Vice President Robert Fairfield, Secretary and Treasurer Jane Albert, Tamer Marguerite Fairfield and Tail Twister Schuyler Fairfield.

Membership committee members installed: Marita Fairfield, Gloria Brawn, Jessica Malloy and Marguerite Fairfield.

Directors: Ruth Brawn, Robert Fairfield, Charlotte Hagan, Kendra Chubbuck, Tina Fitzsimmons and Shawn Malloy.

Second grader Margarita Fairfield, an invited guest at the meeting, was given special recognition for assisting the club members in the May Basket Raffle held at Ames Supply recently in Wiscasset. She was given a card signed by all the members present at the meeting, as well as a Lions Club cap, which she wore throughout the dinner and meeting.
