Wiscasset Senior Seminars focus on the future

Throughout the school year the Wiscasset High School Guidance department conducts “Senior Seminars” for students who will be graduating.
The topics of these seminars range from “Understanding Local Scholarships” to “Interviewing Tips.”
On Friday, April 10, representatives from Molnlycke Health Care came to Wiscasset High School to speak with seniors about information and guidelines to a successful interview. Dale Erdmann who is the lead production operator with Molnlycke spoke about what companies are looking for in a perspective employee.
Amy Hillstrom is a human resource generalist with Molnlycke Health Care. She spoke about the importance of preparation for a scheduled interview. Lisa Lutterman, Molnlycke human resources director, added several suggestions to making a good first impression.
“It is so important to have local businesses involved in our schools,” said Deb Pooler, Wiscasset High School technology coordinator and member of the Wiscasset High School MELMAC Committee, which works to encourage Maine high school students to further their education.
