The Seaside Lodge of Masons #144 awarded two Life Member aprons to Merlin H. Gray and Curtis W. West at a recent Stated Meeting in their lodge in East Boothbay. The presentation was made by Worshipful Mike Leighton. Life Member aprons are awarded to brethren who have 50 years in Masonry.
Brother Merlin H. Gray was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on May 16, 1957, with 56 years with Seaside. Brother Curtis W. West was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on November 11, 1962 with 51 years with Seaside. Both continue to attend our regular and special meetings.
The Lodge thanks both for their continued service and wisdom. The Lodge would also like to thank Worshipful Mike Leighton for his direction and guidance as our new Lodge Master. His commitment, direction and guidance since his move to the East has proven to be beneficial to Seaside Lodge. Our membership is strong and vibrant and we welcome new members.
