Bible Baptist Church (BBC) of Wiscasset welcomed their new pastor, Tom Gapski, on July 2. Officiating at the installation service were Pastor James Gardner, assistant pastor at BBC, and Pastor Gary Ouellette of Grace Baptist Church, Portland. 

 

After coming to saving faith at a young age, Tom later felt God’s call on his life to full-time pastoral ministry.  While attending Bible College in Boston, he met his future wife Joleen from Portland. During the early years of their marriage, Pastor Tom’s ministry began at churches in central New York State before taking a position at Grace Baptist in Portland.  Under the mentorship of Pastor Ouellette, Pastor Tom served at Grace Baptist for 10 years as assistant pastor and music director, as well as youth leader.

 

Pastor Tom is joined by his wife of 22 years, Joleen, and their three children, Nathaniel, 15, Benjamin, 13, and Annalise, 10. He says, “I really enjoy living in the state of Maine. The people, weather, seasons, ocean, and mountains are simply beautiful!  I love preaching and teaching the pure word of God in simple terms to be better understood by all ages. There is nothing better than seeing the power of the gospel message of God’s hope, love, and grace transform lives!  My family is very excited to minister to, and get to know, the people of the Midcoast Region.”

 

Bible Baptist Church is at 143 Beechnut Hill Road, Wiscasset. Service times are Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Worship at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Evening worship at 6 p.m. and Wednesday Prayer Meeting/Bible Study/Conquerors for Christ and Patch the Pirate Youth Groups at 6 p.m. Nursery care is provided during all services.
