11 Boothbay/Wiscasset track athletes compete at 2026 Marathon Elite Invitational
Five boys and six girls represented Boothbay/Wiscasset track and field teams May 16 in the 2026 Marathon Sports Elite Invitational at St. Joseph's College in Standish.
The female athletes were Rose Campbell, Moriah Smith, Olivia Rittall, Aryana Gray, Nerla Leventure and Zuriel Smith. In the 100M dash, Campbell ran a 13.46 second time. She finished 14th. Moriah Smith ran a 13.69. She finished 25th. In the 400M dash, Rittall ran a one-minute, 4.34 second time. She finished sixth.
In the 4X100M relay, the team of Rittall, Nerla Leventure, Moriah Smith and Campbell set a new school record. The team ran a 52.67 second time which broke the old record set in 1994 of 53.1. The team finished sixth.
In the triple jump, Moriah Smith recorded a 31-foot, 2.25-inch mark. She finished eighth. In the discus, Campbell launched a 92-foot, six-inch throw. She finished eighth. Gray recorded a 87-foot throw. She finished 12th. Zuriel Smith recorded 79-8. She finished 20th.
In shot put, Zuriel Smith registered a 28-foot, 1.5-inch mark. She finished 15th. Gray recorded 27-2. She finished 16th.
The five boys who represented Boothbay/Wiscasset were Isaac Fanslau, AJ Crocker, Ben Gapski, Aron Geddes and Logan Bourne. In the 110M, Fanslau ran a 11.93 second time. He finished 38th. In the 400M dash, Fanslau ran 54.43 second time. He finished 16th.
In the 3200, AJ Crocker ran a 10-minute, 40.36 second time. He finished 17th. In the 110M hurdles, Gapski ran a 25.8 second time. He finished 22nd. In the long jump, Zapski recorded an 18-foot, 11-inch mark. He finished 16th. In the triple jump, Zapski registered a 38-foot, 11.25-inch mark. He finished 17th.
In javelin, Aron Geddes recorded a 114-foot, 0.5-inch throw. He finished 14th. In shot put, Bourne recorded a 36-foot, 4.5-inch throw. He finished 39th.
The final regular season meet is Friday, May 22 with the Capital City Classic in Augusta.
