BH Opera House: The Lightfoot Band in concert
Saturday, Aug. 30 the Opera House celebrates Labor Day weekend with the seasoned musicians who collaborated with Gordon Lightfoot on his world-famous recordings and toured extensively with him here in North America and internationally for many decades. The Lightfoot Band is touring this year celebrating the music of their bandmate, Gordon Lightfoot.
The Lightfoot Band includes legendary veterans Rick Haynes on bass, Barry Keane on drums and percussion, Mike Heffernan on keyboards, and Carter Lancaster on the lead guitars. The concert will include Andy Mauck on vocals and 6 & 12 string rhythm guitars. Mauck was a lifetime friend of Gordon’s and has a voice that matches his.
Together, the band is keeping Gordon’s music alive – playing the music synanomus with Gordon Lightfoot include "Sundown," "If You Could Read My Mind," "Carefree Highway," the "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," "Beautiful, Rainy Day People," and "Early Morning Rain," to name a few as well as some deeper cuts, not heard live for decades. In addition to sharing the music, the band members will relate some history and “stories of the road.”

Doors for seating open at 7 p.m. and the music of Gordon Lightfoot comes to life at 7:30.
