'Birds of Prey and a Raven' course in Damariscotta
Calling all bird lovers. Do not miss the opportunity to meet live hawks, owls, falcons, and a raven (who thinks he is a bird of prey). Register for Central Lincoln County Adult Education upcoming course Birds of Prey and a Raven. The course will be taught by Hope Douglas, founder of Wind Over Wings, and begins Wednesday, April 24 at Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta from 6-8 p.m.
Wind Over Wings is an environmental education service featuring magnificent birds who are unable to be released back to their natural environment. Each session of this four week course focuses on a specific raptor from their biology and ecology to their behavior in the wild. This is your chance to be a few feet away from a magnificent Great Horned Owl and Red-Tailed Hawk as well as other raptors. Each bird is an individual and each bird has a story.
The cost of the course is $40 for registrations received by April 17 and $45 for all other registrations. So register early and save.
