The Boothbay/Wiscasset girls track and field team scored 49.24 points in capturing sixth place June 10 at the state Class C Championship meet in Oakland. Bucksport claimed the team championship with 91 points. Runner-up Maine Central Institute scored 72.5 and third-place Orono tallied 65. 

Karen Higgins was Boothbay/Wiscasset's top performer with three second place finishes (800M, 1600M and 3200M). Arabella Hodgdon finished fourth in the 1600M racewalk.

In the 100M, Campbell finished fifth with a 13.44 second mark. Bucksport's Haley Rose won with 12.74. In the 200M, Campbell finished ninth with a 28.41 second mark. Rose won with 26.18. In the 400M dash, Olivia Rittall finished third with a one-minute, 2.54 second mark. Rose won with 1:00.49.

In the 800M run, Higgins finished second with a two-minute, 21.51 second time. Maddie Orchard finished 16th with 2:44.38. Houlton's Natalie Johnson won with 2:20.8. In the 1600M race, Higgins finished second with a five-minute, 12.33 second time. Houlton's Teanne Ewings won with 5:03.74. In the 3200M race, Higgins finished second with an 11-minute, 29.37 second mark. Ewings of Houlton finished first with 10:55.54.

In the 110M hurdles, Sophia Mansfield finished 17th with a 19.93 second time. Maine Central Institute's Angelina Boisvert won with 15.97. In the high jump, Zuriel Smith finished in an eight-way tie for seventh with a four-feet, five-inch mark. Maranacook's Evelyn Stevenson won with 5-0. 

In the 4x100M relay, the Boothbay/Wiscasset team finished fourth with a 54.08 second time. George Stevens Academy won with 52.92. In the 4x400M relay, the Boothbay/Wiscasset team finished 10th with a four-minute, 35.79 second time. Bucksport won with 4:19.48.

In the triple jump, Anna Strozier finished 12th with a 30-foot, 11.5-inch mark. Mansfield finished 23rd with 29-6. Orono's Easnadh Nobel To'olo won with 34-5.5. In the long jump, Strozier finished 24th with a 13-foot, 5.75-inch mark. Adelaide Schroeck of Traip Academy won with 16-5. In the discus, Campbell finished fourth with a 92-foot, one-inch throw. Zuriel Smith finished 10th with 83-11. Mt. Abram's Joselyn Smith won with 119-6. in the 1600M race walk, Arabella Hodgdon finished fourth with a nine-minute, 15.39 second time. Lisbon's Branwyn Obptande won with 8:55.17.
