Dresden Fire Association will meet on Wednesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. in Pownalborough Hall for the monthly business meeting.

Dresden Fire Department members meet every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Pownalborough Station for truck and station maintenance as well as any training. The schedule for the month will be posted on the first Wednesday. Once again, we want to let you know that we are always looking for more members so if you have an interest in being a volunteer firefighter, please contact the chief, assistant chief or come to a weekly meeting and we’d be happy to give you information and an application. Dresden Historical Society members will meet on Monday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the Yellow School House on Route 128 (River Road). All available members are urged to attend. We would like to get input as to any historical presentations that would be of interest. Our meetings are open to the public. We would like to welcome the new members who recently joined the group. Dresden Comprehensive Plan workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Pownalborough Hall. There is a public hearing set for Saturday, May 30 from 9 to noon at the hall. The public is urged to attend this special hearing. The final proposed comp plan will be presented to the voters at the annual town meeting. We want you to be informed and this will give you the chance to ask questions or make comments and be prepared at the town meeting. Maple Grove Cemetery Association will hold a meeting on May 9 at 10 a.m. in Pownalborough Hall. This meeting is open to the public.
