Fall Foliage Fair this weekend at BRVM
The 57th Fall Foliage Festival is set for this Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Boothbay Railway Village Museum.
The two-day event will feature 80+ talented artisans and makers, Maine musicians, delicious local foods, drinks, and sweet treats. Admission also includes 35 acres of hands-on discovery with 28 museum exhibits, a model railroad and one of Maine’s most impressive antique auto collections.
Festival admission information: $5 per person, free for ages 5 and under, train rides an additional $5 per person, train rides free to museum members.
The local inspired festival is purposed to support small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Maine and New England, and fundraise for two local nonprofit organizations, Boothbay Railway Village Museum and Boothbay Region Information Center. About the nonprofit organization event beneficiaries:
Boothbay Railway Village is a 501(c)3 non-profit museum missioned to conserve, display and interpret artifacts, authentic period structures and technologies utilized in Maine during the historical period of the Mid-19th through the Mid-20th centuries. The vision is to utilize its unique village setting to engage adults and children in hands-on activities designed to create a better understanding of Maine village life throughout the period. All museum events are designed to celebrate community and provide a place for families and friends to gather.
The Boothbay Region Information Center has welcomed visitors and tourists to the Boothbay Region for over 61 years. Visitors are invited to stop by to see all that this beautiful region has to offer. The center is located on Route 27 in Boothbay, just before the Adams Pond Road.
