Six-week challenge comes to an end
For the final weigh-in on Friday, April 5, I was down .6 pounds, bringing my total loss during the challenge to 9.2 pounds. I wasn’t the biggest loser in the challenge, but I do consider myself successful.
Beside the weight loss, I have lost inches off my waist, hips and arms. My pants feel more loose and I am definitely stronger and on my way to getting back to my goal weight.
Jason Stone was the winner of the Wiscasset challenge, losing a total of 20 pounds; Pat Maguire was second, losing 11.8 pounds; and Kim Anderson took third, dropping 13.8. The winners are based on the percentage of body weight loss.
My team, the Pink Ladies lost a total of 18.8 pounds and finished fourth in the challenge (as suspected).
Wiscasset participants lost a total of 143.6 pounds, earning the trophy in the town vs. town challenge with Bath and Bowdoin.
Although my schedule won’t allow me to enroll in the next challenge, I will definitely take what I have learned from this challenge and continue to apply it in my life.
I am considering another challenge in the fall, but in the meantime I will return to Weight Watchers. This will make me accountable to weigh-in each week and keep me focused. Being a part of a supportive group is something I feel I need to be successful.
Coach Lisa Hall’s next weight loss challenge begins April 14.
