Wiscasset student named outstanding Career and Technical Education Student
Kathryn (KT) Connors of Wiscasset has been selected as one of 27 outstanding Career & Technical Education Students in the State of Maine. She was selected by the faculty of the Bath Regional Career and Technical Center (BRCTC) to represent BRCTC at a statewide celebration of the best students in Maine.
Connors, a senior at Wiscasset High School, is a second-year student in the Culinary Arts program, focused on Commercial Baking and Pastries. She has been a leader in our Culinary Arts programs for the past two years as the dining room manager of our student-run cafe. She was a local competition winner two years in a row, in addition to serving as a SkillsUSA officer.
Connors has served as a mentor to students both at BRCTC and her sending school. At Wiscasset she helps both freshman and new students transition to high school as a student ambassador and mentor. She is an honor roll student, also played on the tennis team and was in the garden club. She plans to attend EMCC to study business and culinary arts next year.
