This year's fundraiser of The Friends of the Wiscasset Public Library, Bands for Books, was held Labor Day and was dedicated to the memory of Linda Winterberg. She is remembered for her years as president and secretary of the library’s board of trustees, and was instrumental in launching the popular Bands for Books annual fundraiser.

The event was held at Lakehurst Lodge in Damariscotta.

The Lodge was jumping to the sounds of Salty Dogs. There was a huge Silent Auction of artworks, experiences, and many gift cards. Moondancer oysters were being shucked by the father and son team of Sky and Cole Wentworth. The many flower arrangements around the venue were provided by Water Lily Flowers & Gifts of Wiscasset.
